All Hail Fellow Citizens of the Jeroman Empire,

My beautiful, wise, weird and wonderful (delete as appropriate) fellow citizens, and those on the Barbarian fringes who may not have heard the Word....alright kids?, recovered from the brief exposure of our Moseley Souls? (not in a kind of blackshirt styley).

We Havent had Song Lyric of the Day for a while so,

Song lyric of the Day:-

Well Jimmy played Harmonica
In the pub where I was born,
He played it from the night-time,
To the peaceful early morn,
He soothed the souls of Phsycos,
And the men who had the horn,
And they all looked very happy in the morning.

(Pogues - Sally Maclennan)

In honour of Bird's Karaeoke performance in the rugby club last Saturday.

Gibber of the Day:-

Right lets start with Jerome's Birthday celebrations shall we - not that I remember a goodly portion of the weekend.

Got Battered going to Brum, can't remeber why now, but I'm fairly sure a lenghty run-up was involved. Bought Jerome a 4 pint flagon of the CAMRA silver award winning cider from Upton cider farm for his birthday. YUMMERS. I inadvertantley drank 90% of this on the train. Like a food taster but immune.

Met in some pub in Brum, bored some bird to death about something I cant remember, went to a pub called the rainbow where 3 very untalented people were breakdancing (highpoint of the evening - I actually think I would have been better, I really must fix that time machine) then passed out at Jeromes house, no, hang on, thats not true. Played an exceptionally flukey Jerome at Monopoly for 5 hours then carried a chair down to a nearby park with a lake where Jerome announced that the ducks were 'whooses', and he attempted to beat them in a quacking competion (in the grey light of dawn). Once again I cry that Phsyciatry has not yet reached a level where it is prepared to take on Jerome.

Sunday rise 11ish, booze, go to Witherspoons for lunch, get accosted by a gentleman of the road (see sub-section A below). Went to a very nice pub called the Highbury, watched the end of the 4th test, and some toothless elderly people dancing (no, not Jerome). Went to a few pubs then to a pub quiz, bit random that, but we did ok all things considered, bird was flagging but rallied admirably, some dancing was involved, and pints of snake-bite and black were foolishly consumed.

Monday, Left.

SUB-SECTION A. Gentlemen of the road I met last week.

Ai)In Birmingham at a cashpoint opposite the Witherspoons.

GOTR - 'Al'reet, you the bouncer in there are yee'
ME - No mate, I like me booze to much and I'm allergic to pain.
GOTR - 'So yee just work Sundays then'
ME - Yes mate (hand over a quid)
GOTR - You're a good christian soul, do you want to see me map?
ME - Err
GOTR - (producing a map of the west midlands) These is all the places I canna beg or drink in for 12 months, thats wrong isnt it.
ME - Harsh yes - looking into the eyes of my future - further quid changes hands, shake hand, feel unaccountably guilty, the poor bugger, there but for the Grace of God etc.

Aii)Very well spoken spesh guzzler enters train with 5 laundry bags full of unspeakableness. Everyone moves away from him and mutters under their breath about the stink, and I must confess there was a strong aroma. Four pints and a couple of cans down, I decide this is unfair so strike a conversation with the old boy. Unfortunately I have difficulty getting a word in as he is having an in depth chat with himself. Fair play to the old boy I say. I did however move down the carriage after one of his noisome laundry bags started to quiver of its own accord (I have a huge fear of rats).

Bye for now

God Bless harry, England and Saint George
