Rant of the Day:-

Oh dear, Shifty-two-faced politician extravaganza.

1)Politicians who use The Word 'I'. This does not make you sound like a no holds barred, I take full responsibility, Kinda-guy. Mr Blair, if you take a nation of 60 million people to war, merely saying 'I made this decision because I thought it was the right thing to do' does not justify the illegal invasion of a soveriegn state. Not that it was a neccessarily bad thing to do, but to be proud of the fact that YOU made the decision, seemingly on your own, possibly with the help of Alistair 'soft porn' Campbell, is lets face it, morally bankrupt. If you want to despose of an evil despot with his finger on the button of weapons of mass destruction, have a pop at the appropriately named Mr Bush.

2) Michael Howard. Anyone ever seen him in the daytime?

3) The amount of money spent on election campaigns when all we have to choose from is 2 main parties sticking rigidly to the tory 1997 manifesto, and a party of well meaning cardigan wearing lefties who will probably retire to France at the end of their political careers.

4) All the jocks in government. Considering scots and welsh MP's can make laws over England, and English ones cant make laws over the scots and welsh, no-one seems to see the disparity. Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, John Reid, Charles Kennedy - all scots, is this fair. 'We are ruled by unfair government from Westminster' cry the scots, yes, but by scots.

5) The fact that Tony Blair on that Question Time thing kept saying the equivelent of 'I refer the honourable audience member to the Internet response the civil service gave some moments ago'.

6) The fact I seem to give a bugger.

Song Lyric of the Day:-

Call up the craftsmen
Bring me a draftsman
Build me a path from cardle to grave
And I'll give my consent
To any government
That does not deny a man a living wage.

(Billy Bragg - Between the wars)

Literary Quote of the Day:-

Last game of the season tomorrow. This quote is from Richard Carew's Survey of Cornwall in 1602, and is about hurling. I think however it can equate to rugby.

The Ball in this play may be compared to an infernal spirit; for whosoever catcheth it fareth straightways like a mad man, struggling and fighting with those who go about him....You shall see them retiring home as from a pitched battle, with bloody pates, bones broken and out of joint, and such nruises as serve to shorten their days; yet all is good play, and never attorney or coroner troubled.

Gibber of the Day:-

Anyone else bored of the election? take away the right to vote from TV chefs, anyone who starred in Big Brother, anyone who watched a whole episode of Big Brother, anyone who appeared in 'help, I'm a K list celebrity get me a career'. People in home improvement, or garden improvement programmes.

I become more of an arse as I age. The older I get the deeper in debt, and dusk gets nearer than dawn.

Love and hugs one andall, sorry for opinionated bollocks, wheres the chainsaw riggsy.

Oh dear of the Day:-

For the last 4 weeks I have ben a despatch clerk (interspersed with a bit of archaeology). I have been using the login and e-mail of the last incumbent of the post. A lady called Franny Kiss. I sent lots of e-mails to people while I had this address in an attempt to look cool. Well, I thought it was funny. The company blocked the account. Now I'm properly sad rather than just morally so.

Any gossip?

Dear all

I am drunk so now we have======

Drunken news of the Day:-

1)I have left me job and now am, for the next week, mostly being a dispatch clerk.

2) I just went to see the Levellers with Jonathan at Oxford Poly they were great. Never been a big one for live bands myself but folk bands always are the ticket. Very personal, and a good laugh.

3) When having my Colin pint on Sunday (Colin is the churchwarden and the nicest man in the world) I referred to the pope as the 'Leader of the Opposition'. Was this wise?

Song Lyric of the Day:-

If I could live the life I pleased
Then I would be a rover
And if the road was not for me
Then I would choose another

Quote of the Day:-

'its all I can do to get out of bed. Of course I'd like to be a better man, but lets face it, most times I've fallen. I'm just passing through this world. Occassionally just passing out'.

(Me - recorded by my mate Steve, along with the rest of the soul-spending gibber of that morning, when I had a ferocious hangover, and immortalised in the song 'paasing through').

Gibber of the Day:-

Oy Shoogie Riggs - Back in July or I'm going to chop you up and bring you back as hand luggage.

Love and Hugs

Why is Sunday the only day of the week that you can't buy a copy of the sun?

If you ask an answering machine a question, why doesnt it reply?

Do people with arachnaphobia have a web site?
